Hey, I don’t know a lot about cars and I’m learning how to do all the basics. Can somebody here tell me if the procedure in this video is legit? On other power steering fluid videos everyone writes about how the mechanic does a really bad job or does something that will eventually cause damage (like putting ATF in the power steering or something). Thanks! Any help is much appreciated!

  25. grjr says:

@AyCorundum the process the mechanic describes is fine, you just have to make sure that you use the correct power steering fluid for your car. Check the owners manual for this information. Some vehicles do use ATF for power steering fluid, others like Honda require power steering fluid made by the manufacture.
