  4. AMSroadrunner says:

why can’t you use cardboard???? What is wrong with that???

  5. 86camaromike says:

cardboard absorbed the solvents in filler or something like that and the little fibers in it stick in the filler you can use plexi-glass or some scrap steel to mix up your filler

  10. cellplato says:

    this video is bullshit

  11. DeathLis7 says:

you should always cut out rust and weld sheet metal where the rust used to be. filler should only be used to adjust your welded metal to the shape of the car, and even then the metal should pretty much already be close to its final shape. just very light coats of filler

  12. Theos92vr4 says:

@86camaromike because only mullet sportin’ camaro owners would do this to their cars… people with honda’s are too smart to do this

  13. 86camaromike says:

@Theos92vr4 Hey thats your thought the shop i work at alot of import owners want us to paint or finish their cars and i see alot of this stuff and some things you cant even think of and dude not all camaro owners sport mullets im one of them that dont but you are probably one of those honda owners that loves his car and takes care of it if you got offended by that comment then my bad

  14. Theos92vr4 says:

@86camaromike i dont even own a honda you dumbass

  15. 86camaromike says:

@Theos92vr4 Then whatever it is that you own calm down man

  16. idodonuts says:

@Theos92vr4 whats wrong with bondo body filler, some people are loaded and cant afford to fix it using metal….

  17. S1KRYD says:

You guys are awsome. Just a few things. On the front gard repair would it be wise to put a layer of fiberglass on the back of the gard to stop it from rusting out from the other side? Also on the rear gard the rust out area seems to have weakened the integrity of that area. Would it not have been better to cut and weild a new peace into this area for strenght?

  18. kazanyemmi says:

@idodonuts the reason being is because you want to remove all rust completely. hes simply “lightly sanding” and then bending it inword. bondo works great for dents, but large holes from rust bust be removed. lets say you get all this work done, car gets painted white. any trace of rust under the paint will rust back through and you will have a “coffie” stain on your car

  19. idodonuts says:

@kazanyemmi o ok but what about small rust areas that have been replaced with metal?

  20. kazanyemmi says:

@idodonuts what do you mean? this guy didn’t replace any rust areas with metal. thats how your supposed to do it. once the rust is gone you are better off welding a piece of metal on and then preping both sides to be clear from exposed metal. the fiberglass works too but its still vulnerable because of the chemicals in fiberglass can be acidic just like silicone. very bad for paint and metal.

  21. 2intenseee says:

i dont think that is his car.if it was. i think he would take it to a body shop

  22. tunturo says:

well all you guys are a bunch of morons….first of all if u can afford a body shop great good for you.. theres no reason for u to be looking at bondo restoration.. second.. what the hell is the difference if it used in a honda or a camaro rust=rust.. third.. stop biegn wise apples cuz if you took ur car 2 a body shop is cuz u couldnt do it urself now stfu and stop hating

  23. audiocable says:

    bondo…bondo, bondo. bondo…

  24. MattCAvino says:

he forgot to water sand primer with some finer grit WEAKO CHEAPO!

  25. JamesThorb says:

Never use bondo to fill in a hole! I can’t believe this video, I mean using bondo after welding and to even out the metal is one thing but to fill in a large hole in a body panel?
